Binocular Imaging Colorimeter CF-2000D

Fstar has innovatively launched products such as the DI Series and DA Series. Among them,  Binocular Imaging Colorimeter CF-2000D adopts a dual-lens design. Through imaging by two cameras, it acquires information such as the spatial position, luminance, and color of virtual images. Equipped with automated programs and software, it enables rapid project analysis, mainly applied to optical testing of vehicle-mounted HUDs.

The dual-lens design of Fstar's Binocular Imaging Colorimeter CF-2000D allows it to obtain spatial position, luminance, color, and other information of virtual images via imaging from two cameras. Combined with automated programs and software, it supports rapid project analysis.

Core Functions

Optical Parameter Measurement: Precisely detects core HUD parameters including luminance, contrast, color reproduction accuracy, FOV, virtual image distance, and distortion rate, ensuring clear imaging and authentic color rendering.

Environmental Simulation Testing: Simulates environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and vibration to evaluate the optical stability of HUDs under extreme working conditions, e.g., luminance attenuation under high-temperature exposure and response speed changes in low-temperature environments.

Dynamic Performance Evaluation: Uses a 6-axis robot to simulate different sitting postures and viewing angles of drivers, testing the imaging consistency of HUDs from multiple angles to avoid display distortion caused by viewing angle deviation.

Ghosting and Stray Light Analysis: Detects interference phenomena such as ghosting and reflected glare generated during HUD projection, optimizing optical design to enhance driving safety.

System Composition

PGU Movement Control Unit: Precisely controls the position and angle of the HUD Projection Generation Unit (PGU), enabling high-precision displacement and attitude adjustment to ensure testing repeatability.

6-Axis Robot: Simulates the driver's head movement trajectory and various installation angles, providing flexible and stable test attitude control that covers the full viewing angle range of HUDs.

Imaging Luminance and Color Analyzer: Adopts a high-resolution spectral imaging sensor, supports wide dynamic range detection, and quickly captures luminance distribution and color details of HUDs.

OpticsAnalysis Software Platform: Integrates automated testing processes and AI algorithms, processes inspection data in real-time, generates visual reports, and supports automatic comparison with industry standards (e.g., SAE J1757-2).

Applications

R&D Stage: Assists automakers and suppliers in verifying HUD optical design schemes and optimizing product performance.

Production Quality Inspection: Enables rapid full inspection on HUD production lines to ensure outgoing products meet optical quality standards.

After-Sales Inspection: Performs optical performance diagnosis on faulty or aged HUDs to assist in fault location and maintenance.

Through the vehicle-mounted HUD optical testing system, the optical performance and reliability of HUD products can be effectively improved, promoting the development and popularization of intelligent driving display technology.
