Near-Eye Display (AR/VR) Analyzer

Near-Eye Display Testing System: AR/VR lenses can be directly mounted on the DI Series Imaging Luminance and Color Analyzers to measure parameters of near-eye displays (NEDs), including Field of View (FOV), Virtual Image Distance (VID), Eye-Box, Eye-Relief, spectrum, luminance, luminance uniformity, chrominance, chrominance uniformity, contrast, color scale measurement, double image, ghosting, stray light, and distortion.

In AR/VR devices, the built-in displays enlarge images to fill the user’s field of view (FOV); consequently, display defects are also magnified. To improve product quality and meet customer requirements, specialized optical inspection equipment for AR/VR is used to inspect the display performance of these displays.
Fstar-developed AR/VR lenses are designed in reference to standards such as IEC 63145-20-10/20, IEC 63145-22-10, and IDMS Near Eye Displays. With a field of view (FOV) of 110°, they feature a front-mounted aperture, a large FOV, and stable performance. This design aligns the lens aperture with the position of the human eye’s pupil and approximates the effect of the human binocular FOV (approximately 120° in the horizontal direction), matching the actual visual experience of the human eye. This ensures that when used with a CCD, the captured images are consistent with human eye imaging, enabling accurate analysis of the imaging performance of AR/VR products.

AR/VR lenses can be directly mounted on the DI Series Imaging Luminance and Color Analyzers to test the optical characteristics of near-eye displays (NEDs).

Measurement Example

Products are measured using calibrated DI instruments, which accurately match the position of each CCD pixel.
